Bid adieu to the summer and say hello to our new menus

At Bayards Kitchen seasonality and localness are what makes the whole team tick and the different seasons are celebrated in our changing menus and specials board.

Our new autumn menu is packed with delicious dishes with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options making regular appearances too.

Start the day with our breakfast menu that includes lighter options, such as Dartington goats curd and figs and organic porridge, or perhaps you’d prefer a Bayards Farmhouse Breakfast with vegan and vegetarian options too.

Our salad menu has been given a make over: it now includes a vegan super food salad, halloumi and Mediterranean veg salad and a goats cheese salad, with grilled Dartington Dairy goats cheese, served with Hazel Rowan Wood’s House Salad and Dartington onion marmalade.

Wraps and ciabattas have a host of tasty fillings such as Devon ham, Quickes cheddar cheese and Dartington chutney.

If you’re feeling a little more peckish the Bayards burger is a real favourite, while Elston lamb koftas served with pitta bread and South Devon Chilli Farm Jam, are sure to be a popular too.

You’ll also spot a few dinner jackets too: there’s the farmer’s jacket, the Mexican jacket and Poppy’s famous mushroom stroganoff, all served in a jacket potato with house salad.

For little ones there’s a children’s menu too with the option of an activity bag, crayons and an Innocent smoothie too.

You may just want a pit stop and to refuel with coffee and cake. We have a host of home made bakes, and our coffee, roasted at Buckfastleigh by Voyager, is renowned.

There are a range of Heron Valley Juices; you may prefer our smoothie of the day, or perhaps a glass of Dartington Elmhurst Ale.

So bid adieu to the summer, because the leaves are slowly changing, and so are our menus!
