Plant based diets are more than just a fad, and with people choosing a more conscious way of eating, chefs with a penchant for creating delicious vegan dishes are in demand.
At Bayards Kitchen at The Cider Press Centre, Dartington vegan food has long been the star of the show, alongside its vegetarian, and gluten free options, with plenty of choice for meat eaters too.
What are the vegan choices on Bayards Kitchen’s Menu?
Start the day with breakfast – perhaps a bowl of porridge made with oat milk and served with a fruit compote or the Vegan Breakfast – a feast of vegan sausages, grilled tomato, smashed avocado, mushroom, spinach, baked beans and sourdough.
The Well Being Breakfast is a meal packed with goodness – smashed avocado on sourdough toast served with grilled sweetcorn, chilli oil and cherry vine tomatoes.
The lunch menu includes a Homemade Daal served with crispy onions, vegan sour cream and toasted flatbread; Vegan Moroccan Falafel served with house salad, dips and flatbread and a Mediterranean panini with hummus, peppers, olives and spinach.
A slice of vegan cake and a cup of coffee made with locally roasted beans sourced from sustainable farms around the world and served with oat milk, are the perfect pick me up after a walk around Dartington Estate.
